Having grown asparagus on the farm for over 20 years now, we are delighted to be known locally as ‘The Asparagus Farm’! At our Annual Open Farm Sunday customers have the chance to see the fields being harvested, and the crop graded and bundled in the packhouse.
We recommend British Asparagus should be thoroughly enjoyed during its short season which runs from the end of April until mid June. By cutting, washing and packing on a daily basis we can guarantee that our asparagus is absolutely fresh for all our customers. Additionally, we offer Mail Order Asparagus, delivered to the door; it makes an ideal anniversary gift. Larger quantities are also despatched to hotels and restaurants.
How to cook asparagus
Steam or boil until the tips are just tender. Then serve with hollandaise sauce or melted butter. This is quite simply hard to beat! During our Asparagus season we have lots of asparagus recipes on display in the shop for customers to take home.
